The fact that our Barstem is available in 20 different sizes means that it is practically a custom carbon cockpit for every rider. By choosing a carbon fiber specifically because it is exceptionally resistant to torsional forces while still offering a level of vertical compliance, the integrated Black Inc Barstem can withstand the burliest sprinting grips without allowing road vibrations to fatigue the hands and arms.

The Barstem is compatible with both traditional external cable routing and modern internal routed options. Being able to route cables internally greatly increases the aerodynamic properties of a cockpit that has already been shaped specifically to be aero as well as comfortable. The tops have been shaped to provide a platform-like support for the hand, reducing the likelihood of fatiguing the hands during long climbs. The drops have been gently flared to increase comfort and control when sprinting or descending. The drops have also a strategically variable radius to offer greater comfort and ease of hand movement along for multiple positions according to varied terrains.
