Expert Bike Fitters

Masters of the craft

Bike fitting is both an art and a science in that data, and experience, are equally essential. Our comprehensive bike fitting services are tailored to optimize your comfort, efficiency, and performance, whether you're cycling on road, or off road.

With over 50 years of combined experience in bike fitting and performance cycling, our certified and professional bike fitters use a data-driven and personalized approach to improve your cycling comfort and efficiency. From road enthusiasts and seasoned triathletes, to cross-country mountain bikers and gravel racers, we help every rider find their ideal position on the saddle.

Why choose Metier

Expertise and cutting-edge tools

Our fitters aren't generalists - they're former bike racers, and world-class coaches with a careers-worth of experience optimizing performance for athletes spanning road, gravel, triathlon, and mountain disciplines.

Precision Instruments like Velogic 3D motion capture and GebioMized Pressure Mapping give you real-time visualization of your pedaling mechanics, and your position on the bike - not just a fitter's eye, but quantitative data you can see and that validates every adjustment we make.

We are a full-service shop, not just a fit studio. When fitting reveals an equipment issue - saddle width, bar shape, cleat type - we can solve it in the same visit.

For new bikes

This fit service is for the bike you are interested in buying.

We size your frame, bar width, stem length, stack height, crank length, saddle height/fore-aft, and saddle width all before you buy.

BIKE FITTING FAQS

How do I know which fit service is right for me?

If you're experiencing pain - Essential Fit. If you want performance optimization, chasing marginal gains, or want the most comprehensive fit available - Signature Fit. Buying a new bike and want to find the best fit, or dial in your setup - New Bike Sizing. Equipment-specific issues - Saddle Sizing, Cleat Fitting, or Custom Foot Bed. Not sure? Call or email us before booking.

Is bike fitting only for competitive riders?

No. Recreational riders benefit just as much from a bike fit. If you ride more than 2–3 hours per week, or are experiencing any pain, fatigue, or discomfort, a proper fit is well worth it.

How long does a bike fit take?

Our Signature and Essential Fits, and New Bike Sizing Sessions run 1-2 hours. New Bike Sizing Sessions may include a 30 minute follow-up session after your bike is complete. Saddle Sizing, Custom Saddle and Cleat Fitting sessions are 1 hour.

Do I need to bring my bike?

Yes. On-bike observation and iterative adjustment are critical to the Signature Fit, Essential Fit, Saddle Sizing and Custom Saddle Sessions and Cleat Fitting Sessions . You do not need to bring your bike for a New Bike Sizing - we use our fully adjustable fit bike to simulate the geometry of your new bike before it arrives.

How much does a bike fit cost in Seattle?

Professional bike fitting in Seattle typically ranges from $150 to $600+. At Métier, fits start at $150 (Saddle Sizing) and range to $550 (Signature TT Fit). Our most popular session, the Essential Fit, is $395 for road, gravel, or mountain bikes.

Do I need to wear my cycling kit to my fit?

Yes, you need to wear cycling kit to your fit session, or tight fitting clothes for accurate assessment.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Cancellations 72 hours in advance of your session receive a full refund. Cancellations less than 72 hours before your session are non-refundable. You may reschedule your session up to 72 hours in advance of your session.

Can I bring multiple bikes to my fit appointment?

Our Fitting Services are for single bicycles, and individual riders. If you would like to be fitted for two bikes in the same session, we charge an addition $175.

Can I return a custom saddle or custom foot bed?

Our goal is to ensure you are completely satisfied with your custom equipment, and your fit. Custom foot beds, and 1-of-1 saddles are non-returnable and non-refundable. If you are not satisfied with your custom foot beds, we will remold them. If you are not satisfied with your custom saddle, we work with Fizik to provide you with a custom saddle that aligns with your expectations.

What if I am not satisfied with my fit?

If you are not satisfied with the adjustments we have made, we can accommodate further adjustments within a 60-day period after your initial session. Fit adjustments requested after the 60-day period are $75.
