A new, natural shape

Lyra’s most important feature is the shape. Fizik moved away from the old narrow race-shoe feel with a rounder toe box, straighter axis, and reduced drop. The result is a shoe that lets the foot settle more naturally under pressure, especially as modern cleat positions and road-bike fits move toward a more stable, slightly rearward pedaling platform.

Responsive Composite Outsole

The nylon composite outsole is rated 8 on Fizik’s stiffness scale, which puts Lyra in the sweet spot: firm enough to feel efficient when you stand on it, forgiving enough for daily training and longer road rides. It is not chasing the absolute harshness of a flagship carbon sole. It is built for repeatable power, usable comfort, and the miles most riders actually ride.
