Who the Fizik Lyra is for

Lyra is for the cyclist who wants real performance without paying for stiffness they may not need. It skips the ultra-stiff full-carbon outsole of a top-tier race shoe in favor of a more comfortable, versatile platform for training, group rides, and long days. The textile upper feels easy around the foot, while the wider toe box lets your toes spread naturally for better comfort and mechanics. Clean-looking, performance-driven, and for the rider who wants a lot of shoe for the money.

KEY FEATURES

A new, natural shape

Lyra’s most important feature is the shape. Fizik moved away from the old narrow race-shoe feel with a rounder toe box, straighter axis, and reduced drop. The result is a shoe that lets the foot settle more naturally under pressure, especially as modern cleat positions and road-bike fits move toward a more stable, slightly rearward pedaling platform.

Responsive Composite Outsole

The nylon composite outsole is rated 8 on Fizik’s stiffness scale, which puts Lyra in the sweet spot: firm enough to feel efficient when you stand on it, forgiving enough for daily training and longer road rides. It is not chasing the absolute harshness of a flagship carbon sole. It is built for repeatable power, usable comfort, and the miles most riders actually ride.

Dual BOA Fit, All-Day Comfort

Two Li2 BOA dials let you tune the instep and midfoot separately, so the shoe can hold without crushing. Breathable mesh keeps air moving, while PU-laminated structure around the closure and medial side gives the upper support where it needs it. It feels clean, secure, and easy to live with—exactly what a performance training shoe should do.

Why the Fizik Lyra

Fizik understands contact points, and the Lyra is another example of that: not a “softened up” race shoe, and definitely not a floppy budget shoe. The Lyra is a modern road shoe shaped around modern trends - wider toe box, supple and supportive upper, dual Boas - and at a palatable price point. It’s real value, and not at the cost of performance.
