When versatility matters most

The Fray is for the rider who still prioritizes speed and agility on the road, but doesn't want the ride to end where the pavement does. A “do-it-all” in every sense of the term, the Enve Fray suits long solo days, fast group rides, fondo-style events, and the kind of local routes that include the perfect mix of smooth tarmac and graded dirt. The Fray is a premium road bike, taking design elements from the Melee, but delivering it in a package that fits bigger tires, and stays composed when the road gets rough.

KEY FEATURES

All-Road Speed Without Gravel Drift

The Fray gets the balance right. It keeps the fast, direct feel you want from a premium road bike, then adds the tire clearance and composure to keep going when the smooth pavement ends. ENVE optimized the geometry around 31–35mm tires and built in clearance up to 40mm, which gives the bike real all-road range without losing its road-bike identity.

Fit That Preserves Handling

The Fray does more than offer multiple sizes. It uses seven frame sizes, four fork rake options, and a rider-specific front-end setup to keep handling consistent across the size run. A taller stack, and slightly shorter reach compared to the Melee means the Fray gives more riders access to a high-performance road bike without compromising handling or looks just to get the fit right.

Integrated Storage for Big Days

Enve built storage into the downtube of the Fray with 0.6 liters of capacity, which gives you space for tools, a vest, extra food, or other ride essentials without stuffing pockets or strapping gear onto the frame - though the Fray has extra mounting points for that too. It is a clean solution for riders who ride far, and it saves some watts over a saddle bag.

Enve Fray Frameset FAQS

What kind of bike is the ENVE Fray?

The ENVE Fray is a premium carbon all-road bike built for smooth pavement, rough roads, and light mixed-surface riding.

How much tire clearance does the ENVE Fray have?

Yes. The Cargo Bay stores ride essentials inside the downtube and includes a storage bag.

What bottom bracket does the ENVE Fray use?

The ENVE Fray uses a threaded T47 inboard-bearing bottom bracket.

The frame includes the frame module, fork, hardware, and in-frame storage bag. Seatpost and cockpit are sold separately.

Redefining "do-it-all"

The ENVE Fray maintains it's composure where most road bikes start to lose theirs. Broken pavement, chip seal, logging roads, and gravel connectors all feel like part of the plan, not something to avoid. It opens up route options you didn’t know existed, then makes them feel worth chasing. Add fender mounts, in-frame storage, and sharp, nimble handling and it becomes apparent how the Fray redefines the “do-it-all” category. Race bikes are for racing. The Fray is for everything else.
