A Race Bike with Amenity

The Melee is for the rider who still wants a race bike to feel like a race bike, but with modern wide tire clearance, fender mounts, and fit versatility. Fast group rides, road racing, wet winter training, and long routes over rough pavement all sit squarely in its wheelhouse. It is for those who value sharp acceleration, clean integration, and everyday practicality. The Melee makes perfect sense for riders who push hard, care about fit, and want one high-end road chassis that feels equally fast gunning from start-line, and stacking mileage on rough PNW roads.

Real-World Fast Aero

The Melee is built around ENVE’s Real-World Fast approach: aerodynamic tube shapes, a low-frontal-area front end, and profiles designed to work with ENVE SES wheels. Instead of chasing one narrow wind tunnel number, the bike is meant to stay fast across real speeds, real roads, and real rider setups. That gives the Melee a distinctly modern feel. Aero, but not one-dimensional.

Race Geometry with Tire Clearance

ENVE optimized the Melee’s geometry and handling around 27 to 32mm tires, then gave it clearance for up to 35mm. That matters because roads are often rough, and wider tires at lower pressures means less rolling resistance. The Melee keeps its race DNA, validated by team Total Energies in 2025, but smooths things out and keeps speeds high over rough roads and broken tarmac.

Size-Specific Fit and Handling

Seven frame sizes and five fork rakes are a big part of what makes the Melee special. ENVE did not just scale the frame and call it done. The fork-rake options are there to preserve the intended handling across the size range. Add stem length, handlebar width, and seatpost setback options, and the Melee becomes a race chassis that can be dialed, not just sized.
