Metier Racing Athlete Pledge

November 1, 2026 – October 31, 2027

Racing is open to every Métier club member. Joining the Racing team means making a further commitment to the people beside you, the shop behind you, and the community we race with.

Metier has space for 12 members to become a part of it's core Racing team.

As a Métier Racing team athlete, you agree to the following requirements and commitments for the duration of this agreement.

Show up consistently

I will train or race with the team on at least two Saturdays each month, year-round.

Saturday races on the team calendar count toward both this monthly commitment and the annual race requirement. Team training sessions count toward the monthly commitment only.

When outdoor conditions are unsafe, scheduled training will move to Zwift. I will participate with the team from Métier when possible, or join remotely for these sessions.

If injury, illness, or another commitment prevents me from attending, I will notify the team manager as soon as I know.

Commit to the race calendar

I will compete in at least 6 road race events on the Métier team race calendar and make a consistent effort to attend PR and Seward Park when my schedule allows, during the membership year.

Multiple starts at the same event count as one race event. A stage race also counts as one race event.

Behave as a team

I will stay engaged in the team Slack channel, respond to scheduling requests, RSVP to events, and communicate absences.

I will train with the team, participate in race planning, and support agreed tactics and race plans. I understand that my role may include working for a teammate in an effort to deliver a result for the team.

Help lead B2B

I will share responsibility for helping lead Métier’s public B2B group ride when asked, setting the standard for safe riding, clear communication, and a welcoming group.

Leadership requests will be made at least three days before the ride and limited to one request per athlete per month. If I am unavailable, I will communicate promptly so another leader can be arranged.

Presentation

I will wear the specified Métier racing team kit at every race, including races outside the team’s road calendar. I will make sure my kit and equipment is clean and free from damage.

Represent Métier with respect

I will demonstrate good sportsmanship and treat teammates, competitors, officials, volunteers, spectators, and other road users with kindness and respect.

I will follow all applicable competition rules and codes of conduct at races and events.

I will contribute to the local racing community by supporting teammates, welcoming new racers, and respecting the people who make racing possible.

Maintain my club membership

I will maintain an active M365 membership throughout the team membership year.

The annual membership cost is $365, covered through M365 membership. Team bike purchases, components, assembly, kit, and other purchases are additional expenses.

Team benefits

As a Métier racing team member, I receive access to:

  • The designated team bike at 50% off MSRP.
  • Team buy-ins on nutrition and equipment.
  • Team buy-ins on racing team kit.

Pricing, ordering windows, and availability will be communicated through the team.

Membership review

Team membership depends on participation, communication, and conduct.

If I am falling short of these commitments, the team manager will discuss the concern with me and consider the circumstances. If the issue remains unresolved, team leadership may revoke my team membership and access to future team benefits.

Serious safety or conduct concerns may result in immediate ejection from team activities.

Injury, illness, or a significant change in circumstances will prompt a conversation about an appropriate adjustment or leave of absence. Notifying the team manager of an absence does not automatically waive a requirement.
